ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Daphne van Veltom — a Dutch-born performer, singer, actress, mermaid, and creative artist with a passion for bringing stories to life on stage, backstage, and underwater.
My journey in the performing arts began at a young age in the Netherlands, where I made my debut in the musical Oliver!.
During my studies at the Lucia Marthas Institute for Performing Arts, I appeared in various television shows in the Netherlands and Germany as a background dancer.
After graduating, I set out to follow my dream: traveling the world while doing what I love most. This dream took me to stages across Europe and beyond, where I joined the casts of Tanz der Vampire in Belgium and Pinokyo in Turkey.
Magic has always been a key part of my career, and it wasn’t long before I found myself immersed in the enchanting world of fairy tales at Disneyland Paris. There, I had the honor of sharing my creativity and talents with audiences from all over the world.
One of my most memorable roles in Paris was performing as part of the ensemble and as the understudy for the Lilac Fairy in the musical adaptation of Peau d'Âne.
Beyond the stage, I’ve also worked behind the scenes as Assistant Manager for the touring productions of Holiday On Ice and Madagascar Live, as Assistant Producer for the vintage performance troupe The Satin Dollz, and as Entertainment Planner at Disneyland Paris.
In recent years, I’ve expanded my artistic horizons even further. I discovered the fascinating world of mermaid performances and created my own mersona: The Flying Dutch Mermaid. I now star in my own show at L’Aquarium de Paris and appear in music videos and film projects as an aquatic artist.
Always eager to learn and evolve, I’ve also taken up the violin and begun developing my skills as a graphic designer, adding yet another creative outlet to my portfolio.
Whether I’m on stage, underwater, behind the scenes, or designing, my goal is always the same: to create unforgettable, magical experiences.
